The State of North Dakota appealed from an order of the County Court for Mercer County granting Tom A. Wetzels motion to suppress evidence obtained during a vehicle safety inspection at a highway checkpoint. The State contends that its checkpoint and procedures for stopping oncoming vehicles were constitutionally permissible. We agree and reverse the county courts suppression order.
